What The Hell?

I recently came across two things that baffled me. Where are we as a society that we need these in our lives?

Fat Free Half And Half

Fat Free Half And Half

Really? Isn’t this supposed to be half milk and half cream? Isn’t cream supposed to be the fat from the milk? I don’t even want to know how this is possible.

And then there is this.

Justin Bieber Duct Tape

Justin Bieber Duct Tape

Who is this being marketed towards? Are Justin Bieber’s fans really that handy around the house? Are there people trying to fix things around the house thinking “You know what would really help to complete this job? Justin Bieber!”

Neither of these things are illegal, and only the first one is confusing. If there is a market and they aren’t harming anyone, who cares?

I’m sure a good chunk of the Bieber tape sales will be those who pick it up for kitcsh value.

It is even advertised as “All Natural” (as pointless as that statement is, still)

As for duct tape, well, there is even press release for it
“Partnering with Duck TapeĀ® lets Justin Bieber fans go all out in expressing their creativity, because as we all know, there are endless uses for Duck TapeĀ®.”

I am getting annoyed by how much effort people use to make things like this. This was likely 20 people spending good 3 months hashing out the idea, contacting prospective partners, scheduling negotiations, selecting pictures, deciding on design (with “incorporating hints of his favorite color”), getting all approvals, re-tooling the duct tape printing press… I know it is free marker, but sometimes I wonder, what for???

Okay, I got a good laugh out of both of those. Thanks Man.
